Super Eagles striker Gbolahan Salami has completed a move from the
Nigeria Premier League to Europe where he has sealed a one year deal
with Finnish Veikkausliiga outfit Kuopion Palloseura.
Salami was feared to be missing out on another Euro move especially
after he dumped the CHAN Eagles that went to Rwanda.trained in the national stadium lagos
While Salami was unable to tie a ‘big deal’ as many will expect, he
has officially been offered a one-year contract with KuPS, with the
club having the option to extend the agreement for an additional
season in December 2016.
Already a statement to that effect has been published on the official
website of KuPS who barely escaped relegation last season.
Many will be left disappointed that Salami who emerged top scorer in
the Nigerian Premier League last season has settled to play in an
‘obscure’ league in Finland.
The former Warri Wolves striker is expected in Kuopio in the coming
days, subject to being granted a visa by the Finnish authorities
